My mom was as unique as anyone I have ever known. She loved being raised on the farm and the farm life never left her, even after moving to the big city in 2002. She loved animals, and affectionately referred to her cat, as "Kitty".
She had a quick wit, and sense of humor. My mom had an extraordinarily keen use of the English language and would use it in her own trade mark way. An example would be her referring to her father and mother as her "paternal parent" and her "maternal parent" or if she referred to anyone as having passed away, she would just say that they "expired."
She had a lifelong love for music and poetry. She could recite long poems from memory and did so for the doctor and nurses in her last days. Her word search book remained a past time that she really enjoyed.
I know she was loved deeply by her family and that she loved them.
She will be greatly missed by us.
