Alice M Peterson

A private service and interment was held on February 20th, 2014 at Willamette National Cemetery for Alice Peterson, widow of Jack Peterson who preceded her in death on December 2, 1999. Alice was born in Perham, Minnesota on January 6, 1922 and grew up on a farm near Aneta, North Dakota. She moved to Oregon in 1945 and has lived in the Portland area since that time. She owned a successful beauty shop for many years before becoming a mother and housewife where she excelled in raising her family. Alice was an avid reader, animal lover and had a warm heart with many friends who will give testament to her friendly smile and wonderful sense of humor. Alice was married to Jack for 52 years.

Survivors include her sons Steve and partner Veronica of Las Vegas, NV; Dan and daughter-in-law Ann of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren including Dr. Jillian Scott (Peterson) of Las Vegas and Dr. Jennifer Peterson of Long Beach, CA; Brad and Alex of San Diego. Alice also has five surviving siblings including Helen Fosse of Sharon, ND; Florence Larsgaard of Aneta, ND; Leona Bergevin of Monrovia, CA; Lucille Hochwender of Sioux City, IA and Jack Kueber of Aneta, ND.
