

Alice Marie Schneider, 82, October 8, 1932-February 19, 2015 passed away peacefully in Troutdale, surrounded by the love of her family due to congestive heart failure. Alice was born to Lee and Clara Keller in Valley City, North Dakota. She was 3 when her family moved to Portland, Oregon. Alice went to numerous schools but finished her education at Girls Polytechnic. At the age of 17, Alice met a handsome young man named Theodore Schneider who walked her home from the corner store. Three months later they wed on July 22, 1950. They were married for 62 years and had 3 children, Steven, Lynda, and Timothy.
Alice was a stay home mother and wife. She took great pleasure in family trips to the Oregon Coast, and writing her life-long pen pal of 68 years, Irene. Alice faithfully sponsored numerous children from around the world, and found peace in being in the Lord’s word daily. Alice will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her love for Jesus and her family, and her wonderful sense of humor.
Alice was preceded in death by her son Steven in 2003 and her husband Theodore in 2012. She is survived by her children, Lynda and Timothy, her sisters, Helen and Marilyn, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grand children.Her service will be held at 2:00pm on February 27, 2015 at Lincoln Memorial Park, 11801 Southeast Mount Scott Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97086.
