1/11/2018- We just learned the news Kelly. Your Dad called us. We did not have the opportunity to meet Allan, but we have heard wonderful things. We are saddened for you personally & pray for uplift . Also for everyone connected- family, neighbors, friends that have been closer to you in your married time.

We were saddened to learn of Allan's passing. Allan, Joyce, and Susan were our Harrison St. neighbors for many years.  We enjoyed participating in the many functions of our street.  Our condolences to Allan's family.  May happy memories help ease the pain of his passing.

Allan & I go back over 36 years.  He was the one, along with Dick Hawkins that hired me at KATU in 1970.  What a career we had.  I will never forget his caring nature and his work ethic along with his Father-In-Law, Chris in our Animation Dept. What great memories from film to video and the stories we covered. It was a great journey and to his family he will be missed by so many that worked with him.

So sad to hear about Allan's passing.  Michele and I have wonderful memories of Allan and Joyce and all the wonderful years we had living across the street in the Scott Mountain development. Our thoughts and prayers are with Susan and her family.

Allan was my first cousin. I always loved his deep voice and booming laugh. A nicer man would be difficult to find. When I was 12 years old he was lead cameraman at TV Channel K2. The Beatles (yes, THE BEATLES) played Memorial Coleseum in Portland. Allan had 2 tickets to see them but had to work filming them, so his then fiancée Joyce (later his wife) took me to see them. My first concert! He was generous and fun to be around. He suffered greatly from back pain for many years but his goodness shined through. My condolences to Kelly, Susan and Ben.
