I miss our private office talks, the deep intellectual conversations, the soul-baring insights, and the stories we’d never share with anyone else. I truly love you and your beautiful mind. You were so intelligent, always coming with an opinion. And if you didn’t have one yet, you’d educate yourself and come back with one.
I still have the copy of ‘The Giving Tree’ you gave Scarlet for her second birthday. I think of you every time we visit the zoo and see the bears. I regret that we talked about going together so many times, but never made it happen. I still have your bear key chain, and your server book and apron with your own notes and shorthand orders intact.
I cherish every memory we shared, especially the honor of being your date at Cassie’s wedding. I’ll never forget walking into the reception, arm in arm, when you leaned over and whispered, “Am I being a good hetero?” You always knew how to make me laugh.

I miss how excited you were to hear updates about the bears. Zag has been growing his family over time. I take him on hikes with me when I miss you. You were straightforward enough to say the things others wouldn’t. Despite that, I’ve rarely met someone as compassionate and dedicated to helping friends and family in need. I will always miss hearing about your travels, your new adventures, and how life was since we met. I am happy it sounds like you found a cute kind guy to love before you left this world. I’m sure he made you feel as special as you made him feel. 

Even though I know you no longer live there, I’ll always see your little Corvallis apartment as a place I can go when I want to talk with you. 

My deepest condolences for Andrew’s family and friends, as well as his partner.

Thanks for taking me hiking even though I was a whiny brat. I wish I’d been more ready to have you in my life.

The claw machine stuffie I won him. He really disliked him cause he was made cheaply AND he was wasn’t a bear. But I know he always kept JP bear.

Andrew, I have so many memories of you that I'm not sure what to share. When I moved to Corvallis in 2011, you were one of the first friends I made. I appreciated your humor and dedication to your friendships and the people you chose to have in your life.  I hadn't talked to you in awhile, and messaged you last week. I was hoping to hear about a hike you had taken with Herbert. I'm not sure why I googled you today. Probably because it's not like you not to text back. It's trite to say I'll miss you and you're important to me, and both are true.  I'll be thinking about the boyfriend you told me about last time we spoke, and your family. Love to you and yours, Andrew. Thank you for your friendship.

I only knew Andrew for a couple years, having met him through mutual friends Gil and Dave.  Every time I saw him he was always happy, always kind, and always friendly.  He struck me as the type of person everyone wanted to be friends with.  He was generous, without a doubt.  I will miss not seeing him at Gil and Dave's for games, and barbeque's.  RIP Andrew.

I had the great fortune to know Andrew for about 10 years.  Wish it had been longer.  He was a fantastic friend.  Reliable, generous, loyal, honest, intelligent.  Seemed like whatever I wanted to do is exactly what he wanted to do.  And any time I ever needed help with something he was quick to be there helping, with a smile on his face.  We shared many good times, which I will always look back on fondly.  I miss him deeply.  And will do for a very long time.  Farewell, my friend.

Andrew was the best friend and boyfriend that anyone could have asked for. He was so kind, gentle, caring, and loving. I love him so much and will never forget the way he made me feel. He had a way of making you laugh even if you weren't in the mood to laugh. He was beyond generous and thoughtful. He had such a fantastic and majestic sense of humor and personality. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. 

Andrew is one of those people that would brighten your day.. if you were thinking something he would say if first, appropriate or not.  I would always look forward to seeing him.  Andrew was just so easy to get along with and he was so thoughtful. He payed attention to what people wanted or needed and do it without hesitating or receiving anything in return. I will always remember him and will truly miss him.

I've only known Andrew for a short period of time and his presence has greatly impacted my life. Andrew's passing has left me heartrending. Andrew was an intelligent kind hearted man who always made me smile with his hilarious sence of humor.  I'm so gratefully honored to have had Andrew  train me and show me the ropes with my new job.  Andrew gave me confidence, strength, and exceptional precise knowledge in performing the best experience possible for my guest. Thank you Andrew for being there for me! You will be tremendously missed and NEVER FORGOTTEN!
