Angie graduated from Tillamook Catholic High School, where her gifts and dedication were evident in her involvement with choir, drama, and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Those early years reflected a steady devotion to faith and community that would remain a guiding presence throughout her life.
Over the years, Angie contributed her time and talents in many roles: clerical work, assisting in the family business, volunteering as the typing teacher and Drama director at Tillamook Catholic High School, serving as Volunteer Coordinator for Peter Jacobsen, participating as a member of the Archdiocese School Board, and working as office manager at Matt Sander Landscaping until retirement.
She met Richard Sander through CYO, and they were married on August 21, 1954, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Portland. Together they welcomed six children: Mark, Tim, Matt, Jim, Margaret Mary and Paula.
Angie found joy in gardening, shopping, reading, and family time. She was a sports enthusiast and also played piano, a quiet reflection of the musical thread that ran through her life.
Her faith was central to who she was. At Sacred Heart catholic Church in Tillamook, Oregon, Angie served as a choir member and soloist and gave her time as a school board member, offering her gifts with humility and devotion.
Angie is survived by her children: Tim Sander and partner Shawn Baeschlin; Matt Sander and wife Kathy Sander; Jim Sander and wife Tracy Sander; and Paula Calabrese and Husband Joe Calabrese; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Richard; son, Mark; and daughter, Margaret Mary.
