OBITUARY

Anthony F. Di Vito

September 12, 1939 – June 23, 2021
Obituary of Anthony F. Di Vito
IN THE CARE OF

Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary & Sunset Hills Memorial Park

Tony was born in Dearborn, Michigan on September 12, 1939 to Floyd and Maria Di Vito. In 1956 his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he graduated from Camelback High School in 1957. In 1961 Tony enlisted in the United States Army where he was eventually stationed in Munich, Germany, followed by three years in the Army Reserves.

Following his return to the states, Tony began his lifelong career in the automobile industry as a salesman at Westwood Pontiac in Phoenix, AZ in 1966. His career brought him to Long Beach, California and ultimately to Beaverton, Oregon in 1971 where he joined Beaverton Toyota as the General Sales Manager. His success at Beaverton Toyota allowed him to become the Vice President and General Manager of Beaverton Datsun, which was the number one volume Datsun dealership in the Pacific Northwest. In 1981, Tony became co-owner of Gresham Datsun, followed by the 1986 purchase of Vancouver Mazda Dodge. Tony eventually sold his share in Vancouver Mazda Dodge to focus on his sole ownership of Gresham Nissan, which added a Subaru franchise in 1989 to become Gresham Nissan Subaru. Tony eventually sold the Nissan franchise in 2012, and retired from the automobile industry in 2015 with the sale of Gresham Subaru.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Tony is survived by his wife, Sandy Di Vito (Nelsen); his children from his previous wife (Kathy Di Vito who predeceased him), Claudia Valerico (Di Vito), Rick Di Vito, Diane Di Vito and Debbie Secor (Di Vito); his sister, Carole Di Vito; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or PeaceHealth Hospice Care.
