Arlene Atienza Austria, 47, died at 4:08 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from a heart attack in McMinnville, Oregon. She was born on April 20, 1972, in Manila, Philippines. and was a resident of Portland, Oregon. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from Linfield College. She worked as a Supervisor at Xerox Company.
Arlene was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She grew up in the Philippines with her grandparents and cousins. When she was 12 years old she went to America to live with her family that included her mom, new step-dad, Lionel, and older step-sister, Anna. When her parents gave birth to Antoinette, their youngest child, Arlene adored her and became a second mother to her. She met Richard and they had two girls, Allison and Ann-Luisa.
Her biggest love was being with her family and friends. Social media shows her and her girls at many get-togethers. She also enjoyed going to the casinos, walking around the mall with her kids, driving to the beach and talking over a cup of coffee at Starbucks or Dutch Brothers.
She is survived by her two daughters Allison and Ann-Luisa, boyfriend Richard, mother and step-father, Terry and Lionel Faustino; two sisters, Antoinette Fetherston and husband, Robert, Anna Vallee and her husband, Steve. On her birth father’s side she is survived by her father, Salvador Austria, sister Ana Liza Austria Abalos and her husband Alvin, her sisters Jacqueline Joy Austria, Salve Ann Austria, Aiza Isabella Austria, Stephanie Austria, Sidney Austria and her brother Salvador Austria, Jr..
She is preceded in death by grandparents, Luisa and Melencio Atienza.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June, 21st, at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Dennis Desmarais will officiate. Burial will be at 11 am. Serving as pallbearers will be Iric Comia, Robert Fetherston, Raul Maligaya, Rolando Manalo, Romeo Paule and Steven Vallee.
Friends may attend the viewing from 3 pm to 7 pm, on Friday, June 20th.
