Ba was born December 24, 1931, in Bạc Liêu, Viet Nam to Huy Dương and Lan Cẩm Hà of Thạch Kiều Trấn, Triều Châu, Quảng Đông, Trung Quốc.
As Chinese Vietnamese, he attended both Chinese and Vietnamese schools. He was fluent in multiple Chinese dialects including Mandarin, Cantonese, Teochew and others.
In his earlier career, he was teaching Mandarin Chinese in a small town called Ngã tư Phó Sinh, where he met and later married his wife, Mai Tú Trịnh also known as Út Trịnh.
He later moved to and ended settling in Hộ Phòng and ventured into business selling gasoline and marine supplies. He was involved in the town’s soccer team; where he would volunteered his time, organized events, and sponsored events.
He is survived by his wife Mai; Sister’s Khiêm and Quyên; Brother Thọ. He was always proud to have ten lovely kids; seven daughters Yến, Minh, Hồng, Ánh, Linh, June, and Ngân; three sons Đức, Hiền, Hải; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other beloved family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
