Barbara Ann Lance Ulmen

May 23, 1947 – April 17, 2012

Barbara Ann died of kidney failure at age 64 at Mountain View Residential Care Facility, Gresham, Oregon. Born to Richard E. Lance Jr. and Eleanor (Adams) Lance in Eugene, Oregon, the family moved to Hood River, Oregon where she grew up with brothers, Rick and Jeffrey.

She grew up loving reading, singing and ballet. She was passionate in her faith and blessed with many loving and caring friends.

In August 1971, she married Wayne Ulmen in Pendleton, OR. She is survived by four daughters, D.G. of Lyme, New Hamshire, Loribeth Jarrell of St. Louis, Missouri, Molly Ulmen of Walla Walla, Washington and Alison Gehring of Salem, Oregon; brothers Rick Lance of Longview, Washington and Jeffrey Lance of Portland, Oregon, eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eleanor Lance in 1972.

No formal service will be held; the family will celebrate her life privately.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.

Barbara will be dearly missed.
