

Benjamin Barclay Dennis passed away in his home on Thursday April 4, 2013 at age 60. Benjamin was born in Biama Colo Town, Liberia; west africa. His parents names were Dede & Jalah Barclay. He was the first born out of five children. His siblings names were John Barclay, Meitha Barclay, Yapu Barlcay, and Robert Barclay. Now only John and Robert Barclay are still living. He was the most educated in his Family. In his adolescents he went to live with the Dennis family for a number of years to go to school, where they gave the Dennis last name.
Benjamin arrived in the U.S in 1971. He went to school to at Perry Technical Institute to get his degree in instrumentation. He then began working at CH2M Hill Handford Group, in the engineering field as a Nuclear Instrument Specialist. There he dedicated well over 27 years of his life to hard work.
In 1979 he married his first wife Ernestine Marie Montgomery, they brought forth his first son Benjamin Barclay Dennis . There he lived in Yakima Washington for a number of years. After the separation from his first wife he went on looking for a new life for himself in Pasco Washington. In 1990 he later went to Liberia to find and marry his current wife Fatu katiku . Already having 2 children of her own they created a blending family. In later years they birthed 2 girls of their own Meitha Dennis, Feta Dennis. Benjamin was man who had virtues of hard work, focus, and dedication. He spent his whole life working to bring forth a established future for his family. Beside being a firm believer of Christ, education, dedication and focus were important virtues he passed to his family.
He enjoyed working hard, good food, gardening, fishing, watching war movies, and remodeling homes. His hard work and dedication serves as an example to all who’ve known him, his memory will live on forever.
He leaves behind his wife Fatu Katiku, Meitha and Feta Dennis his daughters. Benjamin and William Dennis his sons and his beloved grandson LaDanian Dennis.
They are having a wake service tomorrow evening (thursday April 11th) from 8:00pm - 11:00 pm at the Grace Memorial Church 1535 NE 17th Avenue Portland, OR
The actual funeral will be on Friday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. held at Ross Hollywood Chapel 4733 NE Thomson St. Portland, OR This service starts at 11:00 am - and the program can last only 1 hour, per the family. The family is working on opening up for viewing at 10:30am - just prior to the 11am service.
The burial is Skyline Cemetery 4101 NE Skyline Blvd. Portland, OR at 1PM on Friday, immediately following the service at Ross Hollywood Chapel.
