Bernard Russell Krake Jr.

Bernard Russell Krake, Jr. 7/17/65 – 9/26/16 Bernard Russell Krake, Jr. (Bernie) was born to Bernard Krake and Antha Apostol, and raised by parents Barney and Betty Krake. Bernie attended Hayhurst Elementary School and graduated from Wilson in 1984. He worked as a Sales Driver for Franz US Bakery for 24 years and 6 years for Portland French Bakery. He was affectionately known as “Bernie The Bread Man” by his customers and friends. In September of 2008 Bernie married Monica O’Connell. As a child Bernie played baseball and basketball. He played youth hockey for PAHA from the age of 6 through his teen years, often being coached by his dad. Bernie loved hunting, fishing, hiking, hockey, golf, and the Oregon Ducks. Bernie is survived by his wife Monica, parents Barney and Betty, brothers Dean (Kay), Kevin (Tiffany), sister Stephanie, nephews Kyle, Costa, Tony, Carson, niece Lexi, and his permanent sidekicks, his pooches Walter and Winnie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oregon Humane Society. Celebration of life 10/16/16, 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Old Market Pub, 6959 SW Multnomah Blvd, Portland.
