He leaves his wife of over 45 years, Betty of Beaverton; sisters, Clytie Mathews and Alice McAldon; brother, Albert Ponts; many nieces and nephews; as well as a daughter, Wanda, and granddaughter, Tonya, from a previous marriage, all from California. He also leaves behind special friends, Jim and Rita Self of Lodi, California, and Don and Linda Hamburg of Hillsboro, Oregon.
He had many friends in the Beaverton area, Beaverton Auto Parts, Admiral Merchants Motor Freight of Minneapolis, Minnesota who he was leased to for 16 years, Pacific NW Truck Museum in Brooks, Oregon, and American Truck Historical Society of Kansas City, Missouri.
At his request no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to Skyline Memorial Gardens.
