She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and selflessness.
Born in Mũi Né, Vietnam, and raised in Bình Tuy from a young age, Cam dedicated herself to education as a school teacher in her community, where she met her future husband, Joe. Together, they built a life rooted in courage, journeying from Saigon to Malaysia and eventually immigrating to the United States in pursuit of a brighter future for their children.
In her new home, Cam devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was a peaceful and social presence—welcoming, lighthearted, and kind. She cherished connection and community, always ready with a warm plate of food, a gentle word, or a knowing smile. She found joy in the simple things: expressing love through cooking, sharing meals, traveling with loved ones, and finding comfort in the familiar stories of her favorite TVB dramas.
Cam loved deeply—especially her children and grandchildren—and there was nothing she would not do for them. Never seeking extravagance but always giving more than she had, her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her, leaving behind a quiet strength that will be remembered always.
Cam was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Huỳnh Ái Nguyệt. She is survived by her husband, Joe Wong; her devoted son, Benjamin Wong; her daughter-in-law, Lily Mai Wong; and her cherished grandchildren, Cassidy, Isabelle, and Ava Mai Wong.
We take solace in knowing that she has reunited with her dearest daughter. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will remain with us always.
A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate her life on August 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97086.
