Carl R. Morrison, 80, of Portland, peacefully passed away at home on July 24, 2013 of heart failure. He was born in Glen Oak, Oklahoma to Leonard and Sarah Morrison and moved to Portland in 1942. Carl attended Roosevelt High School; in 1952 at the tender age of 19 he married his high school sweetheart. Carl pursued a life long career in the car business, beginning as a salesman, advancing to management and later owning Carl’s Wholesale. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Sarah, two brothers, Ross and Bob Morrison, sisters Ruth Hill and Thelma West. Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years Val “Beanie” Morrison, two sisters, Helen Taylor and Shirley Darling. Son, Mike Morrison and wife Carol, daughter, Michelle DePiero and husband Steve. Grandchildren, Troy Morrison and wife Jennifer, Matthew Morrison and Melinda DePiero. Great granddaughter Marissa, last but not least Trouble the cat. His generosity, humor and gift of gab will be greatly missed by all.
