Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ella and Martin Elle, her youngest brother, David Elle, her first husband and father of her three children Richard Borts, and her second husband Donald Purkey.
She is survived by her brother John Elle, her three children, Steve Borts, Susan Borts, and Sharon Lee, and five grandchildren, Melanie Bailey, Elizabeth Borts and Daniel Borts, Alex and Max Zatarain, and Cassandra Locke.
Additionally, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Camryn and Aubrey Bailey, Keira and Bailey Borts, Josephine Borts-Aguilar, and Gabriella, Eva, and Isla Locke.
