Carole was born in Portland, Oregon on April 15, 1931. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in
1948 and married Jim Clark in 1950. She lived most of her life in Portland, moving to Vancouver
after Jim died.
Carole was a homemaker for many years which she loved, and also worked at Portland Auto
Auction, where she made many lifelong friends. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed
knitting and attending extra-curricular events that featured her grandchildren.
Carole had most recently resided at the Guardian Angels adult care home in Vancouver, and the
family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers there who gave her the most loving care in the
last months of her life. We would also like to thank the staff at PeaceHealth Hospice Care for the
comfort they gave her and the family at the end.
Due to the situation with Covid-19 there will not be a traditional funeral service. The family will have
a private gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in her name be
sent to the Roosevelt High School Alumni Fund at: Rooseveltalumni.org/donate
