

She attended Brookings Harbor High School and later earned a degree for computer repair and obtained a license to sell insurance. She held jobs in several fields throughout her life. She worked for Hunter Douglas as a blinds consultant, at Damerow Ford, for the D.O.A, and she even sold Avon products. The work she loved the most was her time spent as a line cook. She loved to bake pies and other goodies.
Caryn had two children, Brian and Melinda. She married her “hunny bunny” Lary B. Drake on April 29, 1994.
Caryn loved baking, singing, knitting, walking, and gardening. She loved a good piece of frog décor, and everyone who knew here knew they could get her a cute frog collectible when it was time to buy her a present! Caryn was a very organized person and kept a pristine home. She loved spending time with family and friends, including her beloved dog, Peanut. She will be remembered fondly her for her bubbly personality, her love and kindness, and her warmth.
Lary and Caryn attended Oregon City Church of Christ, where a celebration of life will be held for Caryn at 2pm on Saturday, March 29th. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on March 10th at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

Caryn is survived by her husband, Lary B. Drake; son, Brian T. Wrakestraw, his wife Anna and their three children; daughter, Melinda J. Lombard, her husband Frank and their four children; eight great-grandchildren; brother Greg Doan, his wife Carla and their three children, and brother Ray Doan, his wife Kathrin and their children.
