Charleen was born on November 10, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to Charles Burchfield and Eileen Satterfield. She married Raymond “All Day Ray” Warner in 1971 and the two danced through 51 years of marriage together. Charleen’s two children, Jillian and Jared, were at the center of her heart. Charleen was their biggest cheerleader whether it be at soccer games, skating competitions or college graduations. What made her most proud was seeing what good people they grew up to be.
Charleen's personality was as vibrant as her life. She and Ray cruised the globe - from snorkeling in Bora Bora to attending midnight mass in Westminster Abbey. She made real and lasting friendships wherever she went. Charleen hosted many parties at her home in Falmouth, which filled to near-bursting with dear friends and family through the years. When her children and grandchildren would visit from the West Coast, they were met with open doors, a huge hug, and a fridge full of their favorite Cape Cod foods. Her grandchildren, Trenor, Claren, and Arden were the lights of her life. She once posted that the best thing in the world was to hug your grandson and have him hug you back even harder.
Her zest for adventure also motivated her professionally. In her sixties, Charleen began a career in real estate. As a respected Realtor for Exit Cape Realty, Charleen focused her vast pool of energy on the Home for Heroes program, which provided homeownership opportunities for veterans, first responders, and teachers. During her children's younger years, she balanced her time between working at the Golden Swan restaurant in Falmouth, MA, caregiving, and running a successful cleaning company in the Falmouth and Woods Hole areas.
Charleen is survived by her children and their spouses, Jared and Desa Warner, Jillian and Edzon Perez; niece and spouse, Bonnie and Barry McEachern; nephew, Paul Warner; her adored grandchildren, Trenor Perez, Claren Warner, and Arden Warner; and her best friends Sandy Cuny, Nancy Rutledge and Sue Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Warner and her brother, Patrick Burchfield.
Family will share plans for a Celebration of Life ceremony at a future date.
