Christian, you brought laughter and light to all corners of the internet. You would have a sweet and whip-smart reply to all the expressions of grief by your virtual fan club and you would try to ease all of our pain. My gratitude to you for making me laugh and although you didn't know it, my interest in silent movies expanded because of things you shared. Did I ever tell you how I enjoy the Shot of Mercury disc I bought? Probably not, because we don't always remember to say important things when the living are with us and I am sorry for words I did not share.

Jan Brady is a still a loon in that black wig, hey? I will think of you every time I see that image of her and chuckle and think of you with fondness.

Oh Christian, What can I say but that you have touched so many lives and in the best way; through silliness and humor. So many of us truly appreciated the needed the lift you gave so expertly, as you tickled our funny bones. Thank you! Watching your and Yvette’s love blossom from afar was the icing on the cake. I can still recall the early flirtations that eventually evolved into, of course, knitting your lives together in marriage. Dear Yvette may you find some solace knowing what a lasting effect you both have had on people across the world. The love you share with one another will forever be the stuff of legends.
Holding you both in my heart and prayers,
-Darcie

Dear Christian,
Your humour saved me from a sad time out on the farm and going through a bad situation at work. We all shared some hilarious moments together online, kindred spirits from across the world. I spent many a morning laughing, I laughed so hard I cried. Rusty spoons, Lets dance, Chico -eye wiggle, just to name a few. Oh and having faces of friends on someone elses body. I think even though facebook is seen as a waste of time, it can also bring like minded people together. Yvette and Christian were made for each other, 'soulmates' we watched their relationship blossom and it was beautiful to see a real life love affair online. Yes it can happen!, they were made for each other it was so clear. Sometimes soulmates are taken early Yvette. The best can be taken first and Christian you were one of the best! I wasnt able to afford to help you Christian with your burial, as I am studying and not working at present. But just know you made a big difference to my life and I thank you for your friendship of a stranger from across the world. Travel safe on your journey to heaven you will make them laugh till they cry. Yvette you were both blessed to find each other, Even though some of us cant be there to hug and support you through this, just know we send a lot of deep thoughts and healing love and to you. We will miss you Christian farewell my virtual friend love from across the world, New Zealand Leigh

I knew Christian as a vintage kindred spirit on Facebook. We shared many common interests along with the same avatar, Harold Lloyd, through which he became immediately recognizable to me. So many things have changed in my social media life this unfortunate year, but I never imagined that one day Christian would not be there. He was one of the few who remained a constant for me for many years, and my deepest condolences go out to Yvette and family. His unique outlook on life will remain in our hearts forever.

I never met Christian, but I am so thankful to have gotten to know both him and Yvette through Facebook.
Their love story is inspiring, and it will never really end, because love is eternal. I wish I could thank Christian for all the times he brought a smile to my face, or even caused an outright belly laugh. He was smart, so witty, with a kind heart. Rest in peace, and enjoy rubbing elbows with all the Hollywood elite of yore.

My heart hurts for all of Christian's family and friends , and particularly Yvette . He will never truly be gone because he will always be in your heart and thoughts. Watch for the signs, there will be many, take comfort in knowing his spirit is with you. The only time a person is gone is when we stop thinking of them. Cherish your memories and let those memories bring you peace.
