Christine Anderson Trachtenbarg, age 67, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Thursday, March 21. Chris was born in Rockford, Illinois to Robert and Lorraine Anderson. She spent her childhood in Belvidere, Illinois.
Christine is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ed and their sons, Mark and David, their daughter-in-law, Ingrid and their grandchildren Max and Owen. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Tyler and Nancy Anderson of Scottsdale, AZ and her sister and brother-in-law Natalie and Dennis Morrison of Scottsdale, AZ. And many other close family members along with many friends who loved her and cherished their time with her.
Chris had a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University.
Christine and Ed love their families and friends, loved to travel, play tennis and pickleball, play bridge, reading and book groups, socializing often and enjoying their lives together. She also loved her second home, friends and activities in Palm Desert.
She will be missed by so many.
A private family funeral and cremation service was held and followed by a family and friends gathering to honor her memory and celebrate her life. Donations in her memory can be made to Camp Mak-A-Dream at www.campdream.org They give cancer patients a beautiful camp experience and have a special camp for adult ovarian cancer survivors that Chris attended. She got incredible support and friendships from the experience and she truly appreciated the work they do.
