With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Christopher Alan Calcano, who left us peacefully at home on April 17, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on September 9, 1960, in Portland, Oregon, Chris was the beloved son of Charles V. Calcano and Leah Esther Calcano (Sage).
Chris was a man defined by his unwavering work ethic, strength of character, and remarkable mechanical skill. With a natural aptitude for understanding how things worked, he mastered his craft in mechanical repair. There wasn’t a machine, vehicle, or item he couldn’t diagnose and fix. His knowledge and determination made him not just an expert in his field, but someone others turned to time and again for help, guidance, and problem-solving.
Beyond his skill, Chris was a man of strong values—principled, dependable, and deeply committed to his loved ones. His integrity, loyalty, and resilience were the foundation on which he built his life, and they influenced all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris was a devoted father and is survived by his son, Daniel, and daughter, Crystal, who carry forward his legacy of strength, kindness, and perseverance. He will be profoundly missed but will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Christopher Alan Calcano will be remembered as a master of his trade, a pillar of strength, and a man whose life was built on love, loyalty, and purpose. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a lasting void.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
