Chris was born in Portland, Oregon, on April 15, 1964 to parents Enrique and Ann Medina. He attended Joseph Lane Elementary School and Franklin High School.
During his life, Chris worked multiple supervisory and managerial positions in the food service industry. These included Arctic Circle, McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Sizzler, just to name a few. Chris worked, the last several years as a Meat Cutter for Safeway. In his spare time, Chris loved fishing in the Clackamas River and spending time with his children. Chris was an avid and loyal fan of both the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks. He loved watching games and could often, be seen, wearing team apparel, sometimes of both teams, at the same time. Chris enjoyed cooking and his chicken enchiladas were a family favorite. His quick, witty sense of humor, his smile and his fearless spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Chris is survived by long-time companion, Jody Hart; son Justin Medina; daughters Anna Medina and Lindsey Medina; sister Cilia Pattison; brother Vincent Medina and Monica Ross; and brother Alex Medina. In addition, he leaves behind many other family members and friends in Oregon and California. Chris is preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Barbara Martinez. We are comforted that Chris has been reunited, in Heaven, with his beloved black lab, Bruce.
Per Chris’ wishes, there will no formal funeral service. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered, at a favorite river site by his family.
