Clara "Terry" Kornick Law

In November of 1968, Terry exchanged wedding vows with Ivan P. Law, M.D. in New York City. The couple had four children, Ivan, Jr., Pamela, Christie, and Karen. They were also blessed with five grandchildren.

Terry worked with her husband in two capacities: as an office manager for his medical practice, Ivan P. Law M.D. P.C., and as a managing partner of Law Properties, LLC.

When Terry was not working, she enjoyed music, reading and crabbing. She spent many years singing in her church choirs. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Terry passed away on February 8, 2012 at their second home in Long Beach, W.A. A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Portland, O.R. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Terry is survived by her husband, Dr. Ivan P. Law; children, Ivan P. Law, Jr., Pamela Law, Christie Hallett and Karen Law; grandchildren, Alexander, Raymond, William, Elora and Arianna; brother, Eugene R. Kornick; sister Dorothy Taylor; brothers-in-law, Dr. Nyi Nyi, U Lay Lwin, Dr. Fred K.P. Law, Dr. Tun Pe, Kelvin P. Law, U Than Pe, Victor P. Law and Tina H. Law; sisters-in-law, Daw Juile Kyin, Dr. Khin Than Htay, Dr. Daw San Mya, Khin Mu Law and Jackie Law; and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, U Yin Pe; and sisters-in-law, Daw U Ni, Daw Sein Yi and Daw Myint Myint. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ocean Beach Hospital foundation cancer program.
