Connie Elaine Cowan Wilcox, 92, passed away on October 2, 2018. Connie was born August 1, 1926 in Ogden, Utah – daughter of Roy Lincoln Cowan and Amy Eliza Martin Cowan. She attended Clearfield Elementary and graduated from Davis High school in Kaysville, Utah, attended Weber College and graduated in 1946 and also attended Brigham Young University Provo, Utah, and graduated in 1948.
She worked at First Security Bank in Ogden, Utah for 2 years and then went on a 2 year mission to the Spanish American Mission, serving in Texas and New Mexico.
She married Bert Guy Wilcox on September 6, 1952 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple.
She worked at Mazama High School in Klamath Falls for 15 years and retired in 1968.
Connie was an active member in the Willamette Ward. Over her life she worked as a teacher, Primary President, and in the Relief Society.
She loved her family and kept in touch with many friends and school Chums she knew in Elementary School, High School, and others she has known over the years.
She had many talents and enjoyed crocheting afghans that she has given to grandchildren and friends. She loved butterflies and had a collection of them, as well as magnets and bells from placed she visited and rocks and shells from the coast.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters; Maudie Irene and LaRene Oleson.
Connie is survived by her husband, Bert Guy Wilcox of West Linn, OR. Sons; Kent Guy Wilcox of Beaverton, OR and Alan Ray (Sarah) Wilcox of Beaverton, OR. Daughters; Diane (Cliff) Barber of Mesa, AZ, Karen Wierlo of Puyallup, WA, and Kathy (Joey) Burton of Ridgefield, WA. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
