Corey was born in Sedalia, MO to Larry and Donna (Hart) Farrens.
He attended Clinton High School, Virginia Tech, and Oregon Culinary Institute.
Corey served in the US Navy as a Machinist’s Mate on the USS Durham and USS Abraham Lincoln, and is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield. After his naval service, Corey enjoyed a successful career in a variety of management, mechanical engineering and sales roles in Fremont, CA, Klamath Falls, OR, and Portland, OR.
He wore his passion for baseball on his sleeve, earned a National Pitching Association certification with Tom House, and coached baseball in West Linn, Ore. His support and love of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs never wavered.
He is preceded in death by his mother and brother, Kevin. He is survived by his sister Tracy McClain; sons Jesse and Alex; significant other, Vanessa Yankowski. Also survived by Lisabeth A. Sarin; Staci Jackson and Jennifer (Peck) Farrens.
