February 5th 1992 – February 8th 2016
Corey James McCadden-Gilmore passed away accidently and most unexpectedly in Damascus, OR on February 8, 2016 at the age of 24.
Corey was born February 5, 1992 in Portland, OR and lived his entire life in the Milwaukie area. He attended Ardenwald Grade School, Rowe Junior High, and Milwaukie High School. Among his many interests were anime, and a published author (he had had a poem published by the New York Library), Taekwondo (having achieved a Brown Belt), and his dogs Doogie & Yogi.
He had a high passion for reading, writing, Horror Films, Pokemon, and a highly skilled gamer on the Xbox or PS4. The Leather & SBMD - LBGT Gay Communities both locally, and on the internet played a big role in his life. If there was something that Corey did not know or understand he was the wizard in being able to research, and be in the know, whatever the subject (thanks to the World Wide Web). During middle school he took a trip to Japan, and very much wanted to return. He had also hoped to visit Ireland (his family’s ancestral home). Corey was beloved and took care of his close friends, and was known for self-sacrifice, high moral standards, and exhibited his love, and care in his actions. He had primarily worked in the restaurant and hospitality industries, and caregiver.
Corey will be missed by
his mother, Carol McCadden, and Bill Baker (who came into Corey’s life when Corey was 9), of Milwaukie; grandparents Jim and Ona McCadden of Tigard; brothers Ian McCadden of Milwaukie, and Ryan Beisley and wife Charlotta of Sweden; uncle Tim McCadden of Sauvie Island, nephew Ethan McCadden, and his life partners and immediate family - Larry Kirk, Christian Dowell, Cameron Haritonovich & Jaymi Dolezal (best friends from grade school) all reside in Damascus, Oregon.
