Craig Lamont Kidd was born in Portland, Oregon to parents Earl F and Lorene (Chitwood) Kidd on July 13, 1955. He was the second born of three children and brother to Philip and Julie.
Craig enjoyed a fairly “regular” childhood and upbringing. He was appreciated for his work ethic even as a young boy. He was very protective of his sister Julie. Craig liked to work hard and he liked to have fun with his friends. He attended Kellogg Grade School and Marshall High School.
After his time in high school came to a close, Craig went to work at a sheet metal fabrication business following in the footsteps of his father and brother. He worked in sheet metal for a very short time and then went on to work at Pepsi Co. He enjoyed his time at Pepsi and served 32 years total, most of the time he served as a delivery driver. He was a cherished employee at Pepsi and he never missed a day of work.
To balance out his work life Craig made sure to have fun and relax, recreate too! He fulfilled a lifelong dream of a lengthy motorcycle tour. Craig, on his Harley Davidson, and a partner on his own bike, rode together on a 5,000 mile adventure. Craig recounted this tour as the “best time of his life.” He liked to travel. He visited Hawaii, Mexico, California, and San Francisco to name a few of his favorite destinations. He enjoyed cars and four wheel drive trucks. From the age of 16 onward every car Craig owned was the envy of the beholder.
He appreciated outdoors recreation and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, going to the beach, and road trips. Craig loved to fly and he had a dream of one day becoming a helicopter pilot. It has been said that Craig never turned down an opportunity for adventure. He enjoyed music, mostly country and rock of the “easy listening” variety. He was large in stature with a commanding presence and always looked clean and sharp. He had tastes for the finer things in life and he took pride in his appearance.
Craig will be remembered for his love for his family, friends, and co-workers. He will also be remembered for his willingness to help out others in need.
Craig is predeceased by his father Earl F Kidd.
Craig is survived by his loving mother Lorene Kidd; brother Philip Kidd; sister, Julie Muller; nieces Sara Muller and Christina Kidd; ad Nephew Michael Kidd.
