Cristin Michael Smith

Cristin was born December 5th, 1973, in Portland, OR at St Vincent Hospital. He and his sister, Mikki, split their time between their mother, Mary, and their grandmother, Margaret. He attended All Saints for grade school and Mt. Tabor for middle. The world was his high school.

As a child, you knew Cristin had made it home when you heard the wheels of a skateboard, usually followed by a loud CRASH as skateboard and concert collided after a failed attempt at a stair jump. Then Cristin would walk in the front door, blushing, with his signature sly grin.

He was a happy child, always laughing and playing outside. And he was an adventurous and busy teen, which led him to seek out the United States Army at age 18.

He served in the Army for twenty years with pride and honor. He deployed twice. Once in 2004 (Iraq) and again in 2009 (Afghanistan). He was a proud Veteran and spoke of his brothers often and fondly.

He passed away November 20th, 2023, in Portland, OR, at the same hospital where he was born, St. Vincent, surrounded by his three children and one of his closest friends, Kevin.

Cristin is predeceased in death by his grandmothers, Margaret Mary Boyle & Evelyn Smith. His grandfathers, Lambert "Andy" Boyle & Floyd O. Smith. And His mother, Mary E. Smith.

He is survived in death by his sister, Mikki Smith McBride. His soulmate, Imelda Smith. His children, Lanisha “Nini” Smith, Khay’ree Smith, and Sha'kiah Johnson. His granddaughter, Ziba Geiger Johnson. His Little Buddy, Prince and host of loved ones.
