It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cynthia Louise Cook. Born August 10th, 1965, Cindy left us on September 15th, 2026, leaving a void that can never be filled. With Cindy's departure, we remember a life lived with immense love and a constant sense of caring.
Cindy is survived by her partner, Tamieka Offord, whom she had been with for almost 20 years, her mother, Judith Hoy, her brothers, Sidney Cook and Anthony Hoy, her brother-in-law, Wynton Cox, her beloved cousin, David Snyder, her aunt, Fern Snyder, as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cindy's love for the color purple was indicative of her royal Leo characteristics - boldness, fierce loyalty, stubbornness, dreamer, desire for center stage, and always wanting others to be happy. The greatest lessons she shared with us were the importance of family and the act of showing love to one another.
Cindy's presence will be sorely missed, especially the way she could light up a room, her love of family, her warm hugs, and those endless text messages. We let go of a loving person and a kind soul. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the love, joy, and kindness that were the essence of Cindy's being.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 24th, 2026, at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset HWY, Portland, OR, 97225.
