Dale is survived by his loving wife Kathie; Father of Amy, DJ and Sarah; Son of Edward and MaryLou Rice; Loving brother of Karen Lester and Patricia Latham; Loving grandfather of Warren Hamilton; Loving step-father of Nick, Maggie and Sammie.
Proceeded in death by Deborah Rice.
Dale was born in Spokane, WA and raised in Colville, WA where he then went off to the Navy and served 4 years. He later settled in Portland, OR where he has lived for the last few decades. He worked the last 16 years for the Tri-Met Rail system in a few different departments but most recently as a LRV Technician. He built custom circuit boards and enjoyed troubleshooting and rebuilding the electronics on the LRV Trains for the last 5 years in the Rebuild Dept.
Dale enjoying Hunting, Fishing and Camping, Cooking, Canning and Smoking his own Jerky as well as BBQing. He had a passion for Drag Racing. He purchased his 1953 Chevy truck when he was just 15 years old. He drove it for many years as his daily mode of transportation and then later modified it into a race truck for Drag Racing where he has received many awards for winning different championship races. He was a very funny man, loved to pull pranks and tell jokes. He was blessed with many friends and a very loving family, not to be Forgotten.
