

Dan V Bui passed away on June 5 of 2024 at his home in Beaverton where he was surrounded by his beloved family. He is survived by his wife, daughter and all of his beloved siblings and nieces and nephews. He was born in Nha Trang Vietnam on November 12 of 1949. Dan’s life was dealt with tremendous adversities but was also filled with a lot of love, adventures and memorable relationships.
He served on the Republic of Vietnam military and was part of the boat people movement post fall of Saigon in 1975.
Dan was a lover of the trailblazers, and found joy spending time with his family every moment that he had.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a dedicated brother and uncle to his siblings, nieces and nephews. Dan was always eager to help his community whenever asked and he had an infectious personality that made everyone wanted to be his friend. He took pride in his family and emphasized closeness and cooperation. During his chemo treatments you can always catch him telling everyone how proud he was of his family and their achievements. He was a thoughtful man, that never wanted to inconvenience anyone, but will enjoy being inconvenienced by others. His legacy of resilience and positivity lives on through his family. His battle with renal carcinoma officially ended in June where he fought tirelessly and bravely. He knew it was time to rest and that he did. He is and will truly be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225.
