Dana was born on December 8, 1953 in Portland, Oregon to Joseph Harold and Charlotte May Moore. She graduated from BYU with a bachelor's of science. She worked for many years as an elementary school music teacher and was beloved by many of the children she taught and those with whom she worked. She later received her master's degree.
Dana is survived by her children David, Paige, Jenny and Brynna; and grandchildren Camryn, Samuel, Adelle, Eduard, Marion, Charlie, Olive, David, Rosie and Maggie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dana will be remembered for her musical talent, ability to masterfully conduct a choir, and her humor and contagious laugh.
Visitation hours will be held at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, located at 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, on January 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, also at 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, on January 18, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
