The family moved to the United States, and Daniel graduated from Hillsboro High School. He went on to receive an Associate’s degree from Portland Community College.
Daniel enjoyed many things in life. He was especially fond of building, remodeling, and playing video games. Friends describe him as a kind, positive, and hard-working person. He was even affectionately known as “Super Daniel,” after DC Comic hero, Superman.
On August 21, 2004, Daniel married Sara Cotten. The two met at work, and Daniel, forever a gentleman, knocked on Sara’s parents’ door to ask her father for permission to take her out.
Daniel worked as head custodian for the Hillsboro School District for nine years.
