April 1, 1959 – February 3, 2026
Danilo Cabrales Sabado, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 66, to be with his Heavenly Father.
Danilo was born on April 1, 1959, in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, to Osmundo Ocampo Sabado Jr. and Amparo Pulmano Cabrales. Danilo was the middle child of three brothers and is survived by his eldest brother, Osmundo Cabrales Sabado III, and his youngest brother, Diosdado Jose Cabrales Sabado. It was there that he spent his childhood and formed the values that would guide him throughout his life.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Far Eastern University and went on to build a meaningful career, spending the majority of his professional life as an Analyst at Stanford University. His work ethic, integrity, and dedication were evident in all that he did.
Danilo married his childhood crush, Jyrell Yamba Sabado, whom he met in Pagadian City. Together they built a loving family and raised two children: their son, Denzell Yamba Sabado, and their daughter, Jezryll Yamba Sabado Rojo. Family was the center of Danilo’s life, and he took great pride in being a supportive and caring husband and father.
Affectionately known as “Danny,” he was a true food connoisseur who loved discovering new restaurants and cooking for those he loved. He was well known for his amazing dishes and believed that the best meals didn’t require measurements – only “add ingredients and taste as you go.” When not in the kitchen, Danny can be found devoted to his Golden State Warriors.
Beyond food, sports, and travel, Danilo’s greatest joy was his two grandchildren: his grandson, David Zayne Sabado Rojo, and his granddaughter, Daniella Joelle Sabado Rojo. They were his greatest source of happiness and the motivation that helped him persevere through the health challenges he faced.
Danilo will be remembered as a selfless, generous, and deeply caring man—a father and husband who always put his loved ones first. His kindness, warmth, and love for family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
