Darlene Minnie Boothby

Darlene Minnie Boothby, was born on July 3, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Vernon and Ruby Rakestraw. Darlene attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. While attending high school, she met Daniel F. Boothby through a friend at school. After finishing high school, Daniel and Darlene were married at 1st United Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon on June 16, 1962.

Darlene was a very quite person and kept to herself most of the time. She and Daniel began their family and she raised three sons. She worked for the Lippman Company. When she was not working she was spending time with her family. She was very family oriented and loved her grandchildren. She was a kind and caring person. Darlene also loved cats and was given her nickname "The Cat Lady".

Darlene was proceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Boothby Sr. of Portland, Oregon, sons, Daniel Boothby Jr. of Bend, Oregon, Darrick (Michelyn) Boothby of Lakewood, Washington and Darrin (Megan) Boothby of Tigard, Oregon, eight grandchildren, Austin Boothby, Brandon Boothby, Amanda Boothby, Rachel Boothby, Cameron Boothby, Nick Boothby, Andelyn Boothby and Emerson Boothby, two brothers, Bob (Carol) Rakestraw of Tualatin, Oregon and Donald Rakestraw of Gresham, Oregon.
