David Richard Hale

On Saturday, January 23, my step father, David Hale, passed away unexpectedly... he and my mom spent 48 wonderful years together traveling the world and splitting their stateside time between Arch Cape and Portland... David was a celebrated emergency physician and a master botanist, specializing in alpine wildflowers... more than anything, my parents loved sharing time with their treasured friends and family... my mom is, understandably, very sad and a bit lost... she has decided that she would like to live with our family in Renton (with time in Arch Cape), so we are in the process of making the transition... mom has no interest in any sort of technology (computers, tablets, or cell phones), so if you would like to contact her please send a note via my or David's Facebook Messenger and I will make sure to find a way for you to connect with her... we will be planning a service to celebrate David, and I will pass on information as it becomes available... in the mean time, I best ways I can think of to honor David would be to encourage you to catch up with friends and family, take a good tromp through the great outdoors, maybe argue some politics, and raise a toast to a life well lived. ❤
