She was born on October 26, 1934 to her parents Lloyd and Fern Lundy. She was a graduate of Springfield High School and a devoted LDS member. She met Kenneth Warren Orton at a church dance, and the two were married in Skamania, Washington on November 17, 1956, and remained so until their marriage ended in 1973.
Dawn worked as a bartender and a credit collector throughout her life. She loved to laugh and sing, which she would often do while spending time with her grandchildren and beloved dog Bella. Her creativity led her to sing and act in plays, as well as direct them herself, and she also enjoyed painting and crocheting.
She will forever be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her faith, and who gave to her community and people in need.
Dawn is survived by her daughters Autumn and Julie, as well as 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Orton (1959-1978)
The family requests that anyone who wishes to honor Dawn’s memory do so by acting as a Secret Santa for families in need.
