Dean Michael Spencer

Dean Michael Spencer was born August 19, 1973 in Kailua, Hawaii and raised in the town of Waiāhole, Oahu. In 1994, Dean joined the US Army and serviced until 2005. In 1999, he met his wife, Kahala Pe’a, and settled in Aloha, OR where they lived for 25 years. They married in 2001. Dean is also the amazing father to his daughters Aaliyah-Suzann, Kalei (Jacob Mayer) and Avery; and “Poppop” to his G-unit, Kihei and Kayani-Rose.

Before his passing, Dean was the proud business owner of Flow-Rite Plumbing, serving the Portland metro area. He was an avid golfer and proud member of the 808 Koele Club in Hillsboro, OR. He was also one of the most FANATIC San Francisco 49er fans. Dean Spencer was an honorable and genuine person and he will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, children and G-unit, Dean is also survived by his parents, Steven & Teresa Spencer, and siblings Steven (Jeannie) Spencer, Derek Rowland, Saul (Tanya) Spencer, Jason (Keala) Rowland, Jessica (Nito) Taufui, and Nathaniel Rowland as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial service for Dean will take place on Saturday, September 14th at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225 in the Great Hall. Visitation will begin at 9am. Then, the Army Honors team will present a flag ceremony promptly at 10am to recognize Dean's service and begin the Memorial Service. A reception will follow in the Godiva Room.
