

She was born on July 19th, 1940 in Walla Walla, Washington to Loveta May Williams and Alvin Thomas Brumback. She was raised in Portland Oregon and attended David Douglas High School, graduating with the class of 1959.
Deanna met her husband David Edward Fletcher at Tiny Dumont’s Dance Hall in Portland, Oregon.Tiny Dumont was Deanna’s step father. Several famous Country Western singers got their start at the Dance Hall. David and Deanna were married in 1958 and raised five children on a farm in Oregon City, where they started an evergreen nursery called, D & D Nursery. She was a loving, caring woman who cherished her family and friends. Deanna enjoyed being a full time mother and was kept very busy with the nursery and her many cats and dogs that she loved dearly. She also became a mother figure to the many neighboring children who lived near by.
After raising her children, Deanna worked as a cook and also as the After School Care Director for Westside Dance & Gymnastics Academy. She was frequently seen driving the Westside After School Care van, traveling around to the local schools, picking up students and bringing them back to Westside Academy for dance and gymnastics lessons. During the Summers, she would organize the All Day Activity Camps at Westside Academy. She loved taking the students on daily field trips around town to enjoy parks, swimming, bowling and famous Oregon landmarks. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into many children’s lives and for her ability to make those around her laugh at her quick wit.
Deanna spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and was quite the cheerleader at dance, gymnastics, sports and school events. She also had a love of animals and treated them all as a part of the family. Later in life, Deanna moved into Woodland Heights Assisted Living facility. She loved meeting new friends and getting involved in all of the activities offered each day. She was known for joking around with the residents and staff and she was very entertaining and loved by many. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her and the love she gave so freely.
Deanna is survived by her children Mellanie (David) Heniff, Darla Fletcher and David Troy (Patricia) Fletcher. Her Grandchildren; Casey Fletcher, Monica Hayden, Cody Fletcher, Amanda Durr, Zach Newton, Christopher Heniff, Madison Heniff, Amber Cuffel, Tyler Douglas, Allie Fletcher, Laura Fletcher and Cassidy Fields. Great Grandchildren; Reyanna, Luke, Kyra, Tommy, Cole, Parker H, Jackson, Tegan, Jacob, Hailey, Adric, Hope, Nyssa, Parker F, George, Addy, Charlotte, Aiden and Ethan.
Deanna was preceded in death by her husband David Edward Fletcher; Her brother, Gerald Brumback; Her son, Monty Fletcher; her daughter, Tina (Christopher) Fields and her Grandson, Cory Fletcher.
Deanna’s celebration of life will take place at a later date. Her wish was to have her ashes shared together with her husband and spread in the Blue Mountains in Eastern Oregon.
