

Deborah Elaine Dufour, aged 56, of Portland, OR died at her home on February 27, 2015 of breast cancer. Services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13715 SW Walker Rd, Beaverton, OR. Rosary will be at 10:00 A.M., followed by mass at 11:00 A.M., and then after the mass there will be a short reception. Military Burial will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park starting at 2:00 P.M. located at 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR. (GPS coordinates: 1950 SW Camelot Court, Portland, OR. 97225) Debbie was born January 18, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to John Thomas and Mary Ann Allen. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1977. After graduation she served a full term in the United States Air Force stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ. On January 18, 1980 she married Philip Dufour. She moved with her husband and daughter to Portland, OR after her military service. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linefield College, and a Master of Science from the University of Portland. She worked as a FNP (family nurse practitioner) at the VA Medical Center Portland OR until her early retirement in 2013. Debbie previously worked at Providence Health Systems, Legacy Health Systems, and Native American Health System. Debbie loved being with her family, walking, spending time at Seaside Beach and time in her yard. The addition of two grand kids was a great joy for her. She is survived by her husband Phil, daughter Amy (Jon) and grandchildren Brynn and Rhys. She also survived by sisters Gloria (Pat), Carolyn, and Marie (Don) and brothers John, Tom, Bill (Kerri) and Richard (Kelley) and brother-in-law Joe. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, sister Sandra, and sister-n-law Tammy. In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation at Susan G.
