

A native Portlander, Dodo was born at St. Vincent hospital. She grew up on a farm in Gresham and graduated from Gresham High School. She was the oldest of six children. She spent the majority of her working life in the pharmaceutical industry. In the early 2000s she retired from Magno Humphries, where she worked for around 27 years. Dodo was hard working and spent her whole life providing for her family. She was deeply dedicated to her children and grandchildren and even took wonderful care of her mother and stepfather during their last days. Dolores had a great personality. She was goofy and funny and could always be found giggling and smiling. Dolores had a great heart. She was a very giving woman and always worried so much about others that she often forgot to take care of her own needs. She was loved by her family and her Elders because she was a simple woman who wanted nothing more than happiness for all those she loved. Dolores was an Elder in the Siletz tribe and became very involved with the tribe during the last decade of her life. She did beadwork and created her own regalia. She enjoyed old country music and loved playing Bingo, Cribbage and Pinochle. Dodo was preceded in death by her father, Telesforo; mother, Dorothy Arrington and step-father, Herbert Arrington. She is survived by her daughter, Toniette; son-in-law Anthony Lindsey; grandchildren, Zachery Davis and Colleen Lindsey; siblings, Consuelo, Richard, Elena Cordts and Anthony and Cynthia Arrington; aunt, Charlotte Squires and multiple nieces and nephews.
