Born August 18, 1917 in Wheatland, Illinois and died on Sept. 8, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Sixty-one years to the day he paid his first payment on his Portland home.
Don was in the US Army from 1941 to 1945 and married Atha Bee Marsett during the war. After World War II he and his his family moved to Oregon and worked for BP Johns as a cabinet maker. International Harvesters and lastly Chrepler Crop as a warehouseman.
Dad was an avid bowler starting in 1936. After World War II he took it up again and bowled until March 2012.
He is survived by a brother Galen Goodale of Tigard, Oregon, Daughter Donna Sleeman of Portland, Sons Joseph Goodale of Oregon City, Michael W. Goodale of Everett, Washington, William Goodale of Wilsonville and six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Mt. Scott Presbyterian Church on 73rd and Harold. September 24, 2012 at 10 AM.
Military Honors to be performed at WIllamette National Cemetery with a private family burial to follow.
