Donna Morgan Brooks

Born March 18, 1948 in Oklahoma, to Oren Carl Morgan and Bonnie Jean Morgan, she moved to the Portland, Oregon area as a child. Donna graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon. She stayed in the area for the most part, except for a brief time in southern California in the late 1980's. Donna worked for many years in the insurance industry both in Oregon and California. Eventually she left the 9 to 5 life to pursue a career in home decorating, which was her passion. She spent time with House of Lloyd, Home Interiors and Scentsy. Donna was a lifelong Christian.

In 1969, Donna had a daughter, Angela Kay Morgan. In 1972, she married Ivin Bruce Monagon, and they both took the last name of Monagon. She became step-mom to Debra Monagon, Pamela (Monagon) Mouser, and James Monagon. Donna and Ivin were married for ten years. They divorced in 1982, shortly before Ivin was involved in a fatal car accident in early 1983. A few years later, she met and married Jerry Kenneth Miles, and gained two more step-children, Curt Miles and Toni (Miles) Hiebert. Donna and Jerry were married for over 25 years when he passed away after a long illness. Donna again found love and married David Brooks. And she became mom, once again, to Tashi (Dave's Lhasa Apso). They were only married for a short time when she was diagnosed with inoperable Stage 4 lung cancer. Donna, Dave and Tashi spent two years together before Donna passed away at their home.

Donna is survived by her husband, David Brooks; her daughter, Angela Bowman; her grandson, Travis Rowland; her granddaughter, Kaitlin Winkler; her step-daughters, Debra Monagon and Pamela Mouser; her granddaughter Jessica Mouser; her grandson Sean Mouser; her step-son James Monagon; her granddaughter Jasmine Monagon; her grandson Chase Monagon; her step-son Curt Miles; her grandsons Christopher, Brandon and Cameron Miles; her granddaughter Cheri Miles; her step-daughter Toni Hiebert; her grandson Skyler Hiebert; her granddaughters Shauna and Cassie Hiebert. She also had many great-grandchildren as well. She is also survived by her brother, Stanley Morgan, her half-sister Karen Rozell, and her uncle Cecil Morgan.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 3:00pm, at Calvary Chapel SE, 13520 SE Pheasant Court, Milwaukie, OR 97222, 503-794-8266. All relatives and friends are welcome. There will be refreshments served after the service.
