Donna Marie Helgerson

Donna grew up in Portland and graduated from Cleveland High School. She married Carl Helgerson, and together they blended their family. Throughout her life, she worked at the phone company and various printing companies before finishing her career at Premier Press.

Donna had a deep appreciation for fashion, collecting clothes, shoes, and purses. She was also a talented artist who enjoyed abstract painting and decorating boxes and seashells. Her love for music was evident in her vast collection of classic rock and blues CDs. A devoted animal lover, she had a special passion for rescuing and rehoming cats.

After Carl’s passing in 2001, Donna wanted to move to the coast as she had a deep love for the ocean and wanted to live closer to her cousin Sue, who was very special to her. She lived in Neskowin, Pacific City, and Lincoln City before eventually returning to Portland. She cherished her family deeply, especially her son Terry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Helgerson. She is survived by her son, Richard "Terry" Meredith.

Donna’s memory will live on through those who knew and loved her.
