

Donna Mae Combs was born in Portland, Oregon May 13, 1926 to Herbert Combs and Anne (Ward) Combs. She had a sister Mary Jane Combs 2 years her senior. Donna attended Marysville Grade school and went to St. Marys Academy her first 2 years of high school and finished at Franklin High School, graduating in 1944. Her employment included Bend Portland Truck Service and then Hudson Stores. She met her husband Walter Zornado in
1946 and whom she married on May 16, 1948. They celebrated their 50 year anniversery at the Milwaukie Elks Club, where they were long time members, with family and friends on May 16, 1998. They also were members of Christ The King Catholic Church in Milwaukie. Soon after Walter retired in 1979, they enjoyed years of retirement which included bowling, dancing, playing bridge and lots of golf, which they both loved and were proud of their "Hole In One" trophies in which Donna teased Walter as she had two trophies and he only had one. They also traveled all over the United States, Europe and Mexico. Donna now joins Walter again in another life that will continue forever. Thier children are so proud to have had such loving parents and will miss them dearly.
