Dorothy loved to travel and even though her family and friends were spread around the country, she made time for everyone and always found a way to drop by to say hi. She traveled around the world going to places as diverse as Tunisia, South Korea, and Europe. She loved to camp and any excuse was a good one for bundling the family in
the car with sleeping bags to start off on an adventure.
Her father taught her to fly and during World War II, she flew as a CAP patrolling the Canadian border. she was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Dorothy was married to Keith Thompson until his death and married Oscar Blake who she later divorced, and married to Lynn Rintoul until his death in 1999. She is survived by two of her six children, Kaaren and Marc, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. (Jan how many grandchildren does Darlene have?)
Throughout her life, Dorothy lived with a strong devotion to the Lord and it was a guiding principle in all she did.
We would like to thank Raluca Bogsdan and her family at Westhaven Group Care Home for the truly wonderful care Dorothy received during the last year of her life.
Funeral arrangements by Caldwell's, Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee.
