Dorothy was gifted to this world on March 23rd, 1930 in Edmonton Alberta Canada. Second to last of thirteen siblings born to Lawrence and Mary Mckinley who immigrated from Ireland to Canada, crossing the Atlantic in May of 1928 aboard the vessel Montclare. Her given middle name 'Claire' was an homage to the liner. Dorothy left this world she graced shortly after celebrating her 90th birthday in March of 2020. The last surviving sibling of thirteen who proceeded her in passing as follows: brothers Gerald, Tom, Frank, John, James, Lawrence, Patrick, and William. Sisters Elizibeth, Anne, Bridget, and Cecelia. Dorothy wed her loyal and hardworking husband of 68 years who also proceeded her in passing Alexander. Together they had three lifelong devoted children, Gail, Cheryl, and son Gregory. In addition four grandchildren: Shane, Bradley who also proceeded her, Gregory, and Todd. Further extended family to include great grand-children Gregory, Justin, Brandon, Taylor, Skyler, Bradley, Speclyn, Marvin, Buster, and finally great, great grand-daughter Khalani. Lifelong devout Catholic, Dorothy's devotion to family was her driving ambition in life and the grief and sadness upon her loss cannot be expressed in words by those of who she gave life to and provided everlasting love and guidance in this world and transcending beyond it. We love you eternally and forever mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grandmother. You will be deeply missed.
