

Marie was preceded in death by, her mother Welthy , her two children, Michael and Linda, her brother John and sister Linda.
She was born October 07, 1932 to parents John Cyrus Dunn Sr. and Welthy Madge Nichols in Portland, Oregon, where she grew up with her three siblings, her brother John Cyrus Dunn Jr (Diane), and sisters Donna (Dewey) Lake and Joann (Ray) Brand. Later in life Marie sought out and found their youngest sister Linda Joy Miller.
Marie was married to Gene Nowlan and they lived in Anchorage Alaska for many years. Marie had three children. Her sons David and Michael Pingrey, and her daughter Linda (Scott) Easler, who blessed her with her two grandchildren that she dearly loves, Jamie Valdez and Nevin Easler. Marie spent many happy days with them. She has five great-grandchildren.
Marie worked for many years at Alascom Communications in Anchorage Alaska, until she retired.
Her favorite hobbies were genealogy and scrapbooking. Marie also made beautiful crafts such as lampshades, pillows and floral arrangements. She enjoyed listening to good music and was amazing at “name that tune”.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed going to the temple and worked diligently on her family history. She had many callings in the church, teaching genealogy, and working with the young women, where she taught them sewing and various crafts. She loved attending relief society.
For the last 14 years Marie resided and was lovingly cared for, at Cascade Terrace Nursing Center on SE 122nd in Portland. Her family is very grateful to them for all of the wonderful care they gave her. Marie loved them all!
Everyone enjoyed her infectious laughter. She will be sorely missed …
