Elaine was born April 6, 1923 to Arthur and Martha Bohlmann in Portland where she remained here entire life. She married J M Quimby in February of 1947. In 1951 their only child, Wayne, was born.
An astute business woman at a time when few women pursued such a path. She was a founder and Treasurer of Quimby Corporation for over 50 years. She was devoted to her family along with her business interests. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time at homes in Salishan and Rancho Mirage, CA. Her favorite spot, however, was her home on the Willamette River in which she remained until her passing. Those who knew her will always remember her generosity.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and four siblings, her twin sister Evelyn; brothers, Don, Herbert and Walter. She leaves behind her son, Wayne and his spouse Michael, her dear sister in law, Nora Bohlmann; and many loving nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Janet Stevenson who made her last eight years the best possible.
